英語日記 GTD

I feel like I’m slammed with work these days. I believed that I had managed my life relatively well until I resumed my study for a PhD degree. I’m now carrying out several experiments for my degree and filling patent applications while working for a living. They are mind-boggling and overwhelm me by their complexity.

To be fully responsible and highly effective in my life, I started to exercise GTD according to “Getting Things Done” book. “Clear Your Clutter with Feng Shui” also helps me to do household chores. Both books seem to share the core principle, “Unfinished things bug our mind.” Although the clutter book recommends us to dump as many things as we can, GTD book tells us how to manage “action” to be organized.

I’m jotting down useful memos while listening to the audiobook and do clean ups at the same time. I feel a new flow of energy come in as my brain is released from all the concerns. I can focus on what I’m doing, and still the work flow can be comprehensive. I’m trying to change my way of handling things gradually, and I’m sure it’ll serve me well for the rest of my life!
